A Life Devoted to Impact

My life has been devoted to learning, healing, creating, and serving others.

Through decades of teaching anatomy and physiology, caring for patients, and creating music, I have tried to faithfully use the gifts God placed before me.

My goal has always been simple: to work hard, help others, and leave the world a little better through the people I have taught, the lives I have helped, and the ideas and music I have shared.

In the end, legacy is not measured by titles or recognition, but by the lives we touch along the way.

My hope is to finish the race well and leave a lasting impact—however small—within the world I was given to serve.

The Scherer Impact Philosophy

Scherer Impact is more than a name — it is a philosophy.

The philosophy is simple:

We each have the ability to influence the world around us, one person at a time.

Through knowledge, service, creativity, and kindness, small actions create ripples that travel far beyond the moment they occur.

This belief has guided the work of Dr. Dean J. Scherer across education, health, music, and life itself.

The Scherer Impact philosophy reflects four ways we influence the world:
by teaching minds, restoring health, inspiring hearts through music, and lifting others through acts of kindness.

“Impact begins with one life touching another.”

— Dr. Dean J. Scherer

The capstone principle behind Scherer Impact

Knowledge shared becomes wisdom.
Healing given becomes strength.
Music offered becomes inspiration.
Kindness shown becomes legacy.

Legacy: Impact in Action

Legacy is where philosophy becomes reality.

It is not measured only in achievements or accomplishments, but in the lives we touch along the way.

A word of encouragement.
A moment of kindness.
A conversation that lifts someone when they need it most.

Sometimes the most meaningful impact happens in the smallest interactions — one person noticing another and choosing to make their day better.

Legacy is built this way.

One moment.
One act of kindness.
One person at a time.

Example: A Small Moment of Impact

One evening at a local restaurant, I noticed a young employee working diligently — cleaning, mopping, and taking obvious pride in doing his job well.

I stopped to compliment him and wrote a short note of encouragement on the back of one of my business cards. I told him to show it to his manager, because good work deserves recognition.

We talked for a few minutes. He asked about the music on my card’s QR code, and I shared a few songs with him.

What started as a simple compliment became a moment of connection.

These are the moments that remind us how powerful encouragement can be.

Legacy often begins with something very small.

And sometimes it begins with you.

Scherer Impact is built on four pillars that reflect different ways we can influence the world.

Education — Teaching minds and sharing knowledge
Health — Restoring the body and supporting well-being
Music — Inspiring the heart through creativity and expression
Legacy — Lifting others through kindness, encouragement, and example

Together, these pillars form a life devoted to meaningful impact — one person at a time.

The Pattern of Life

Over time, patterns begin to appear.

One of the most meaningful is this:

Source → Alignment → Harmony

Christ is the Source — the center from which life finds its true order.

When a life begins to align with that Source through faith, prayer, reflection, and worship, something remarkable begins to happen.

Harmony follows.

Peace replaces anxiety.
Love overcomes isolation.
Acceptance dissolves rejection.
Purpose emerges where confusion once lived.

That same pattern quietly appears throughout the work of Scherer Impact.

Education brings clarity to the mind.
Health restores balance to the body.
Music resonates with the heart and spirit.
Legacy carries that influence outward into the lives of others.

When the Source is right, alignment becomes possible.
And when alignment occurs, harmony spreads.

One life touching another.

The Scherer Impact philosophy reflects a lifetime devoted to education, health, creativity, and the encouragement of others.
